Pack ground bait in/around it, then use something like sweetcorn over the hook

You just put your bait on the hook..?

Or buy some micro ring swivels and hook beads and make a hair

I’ve also heard people just sticking the hooks in packbait without any hook bait don’t know if that works that’s mainly why I’m asking

That’s a death rig… if you like fish and don’t wish to risk them being tethered in a snag please use a rig that will allow the weight or feeder to come off the line in the event of a snapped mainline.

It’s a commonly used rig or, as we call, a trace. used in South africa. It’s more for speed than size. The spring or weight is packed with a groundbait we call mieliebom that desolves of the spring. It’s a combination of popcorn, crushed corn, and exe. It creates a cloud with a white look. This tricks the fish into thinking there are a lot of other fish feeding. the popcorn goes up in the water colum, attracting a lot of fish. Then we use things called floaties, which are small bait that well floats directly on the hook. Corn works as well. We then try and cast on the same spot every time, covering the bottom with mieliebom. On the mieliebom, we use dips that are flavorings to attract more fish. So basically, it’s fun. Fast-paced fishing. We catch carp
Yellow fish, mudfish, catfish.

If I use cage feeders I usually use leaders between 70-100cm (~2-3ft)

Throw it in the bin

Death rig. If it gets snapped off a fish will end up towing that and getting tethered because the feeder won’t come free – resulting in the fish’s death or in severe mouth damage. Plus the second hook will likely cause foul hooking, again causing severe injury to the fish. Please don’t use it…

Badly tied. you need to strip it and make up a safer free running configuration. You can hair rig it then

Asain Method feeder.. Widely misunderstood. A video explaining this Thai type of feeder will/should give an explanation. They are effective. This feeder is meant to be suspended/ used with a float.. not a bottom method.

Besides this being a death rig which you should never use, those hooks are blunter than my kid’s crayons. Bin it

I think the term is method fishing. Used similar when fishing rivers.

What a monstrosity of a rig wow

Illegal to fish multi hook rigs, and that’s a bloody awful feeder anyway. There’s loads of advice on YouTube

The only time I saw one used it had more hooks, and was quite dangerous to everyone in the boat when a thrashing fish was in the boat.
