I don’t use Reddit really, but I wanted to say after several months of trying and failing, I finally caught carp, and TWO at once!!! Let me explain – my 6lb test ultralight was hit by a smaller carp and it pulled a couple hundred yards of drag out. I decided to let him tire himself out, and as I wait, a much bigger carp nailed my 20lb test rod after several others missed the hook. Reeled it in rather easily, measured at 29”, and then pulled the smaller one in, which measured at 24.”
The 24” was on my rod for about 40 minutes
As for bait, I put three corn kernels on a sharp hook after chumming.
