I have a Okuma surf 8k that I just bought. I wanted something with a lot of line capacity. I put some Beyond Braid 50# line on it. 0.36mm. I stamping on the reel says I should get about 500m. According to the Rapala line counter I only got 250m on and it’s full. Am I just dumb and missing something. I’ve never actually measured how much line I put on a reel before I usually just go until it’s full. Just seeing if someone could help me figure it out.

Did you wet it and put it on tight enough? Maybe Okuma uses a different brand braid for their line capacity numbers which has a different diameter to yours.
