Waded the sound between Avon and Rodanthe for a couple of hours this morning in brutal wind from the west before giving up. Only one flounder landed on a swimming trout trick with pinfish constantly pecking at it.
Fished the surf in Salvo for the last three hours of daylight on an incoming tide. Landed 5 mullet and a flounder on sand fleas and missed a few other bites. Biggest mullet was right at 14.5”, the width of my flea rake.
