

Slightly off topic. But I've seen some YT of people eating it and worked up my courage and battered deep fried some, sprinkle some minced garlic, green onion, red chili and soy sauce. It actually tastes just like shrimp heads (not shrimp tail)
On topic pic, got a pretty spot fin croaker from a jetty using sand flea. It's also dinner.

Peel the carapace off before you dredge/batter and fry them. Also their little pointy shovel. I actually really enjoy these.
Bonus points; just eat the soft shell ones.
Edit: extra bonus, the ones with eggs- carefully peel the eggs off, sprinkle with salt and eat the eggs raw like caviar (or blanch for 30 sec). So good.
I need to know how these tasted, and if they were soft or hard shelled lol.
