Such a fun fish! Had the drag just right so gave a great fight making 4-5 big runs each time she saw me. Finally got her in on a wave for the photo shoot. She needed a lot of recoup but we got her back safe to the party

Great catch. A 22” frijole is top notch. During the summer sometimes I like to specifically target them in the skinny at grey light with my Ultralight setup as well. It’s amazing how they pull a 180 on you and take back off again. They are built for u-turns in 2” of water. Thanks for sharing!

Very nice! Where? Like a hat state/country?

We don’t have those here in Texas that I know of. But in December I spent a week on the Argentina coast surf fish. We hooked you on some corbina and huge Atlantic whiting on that trip. On fish bites!

I grew up fishing for them. Since the birth of my son I don’t have the time. Epic catch

  5. Nicely done! Glad to see someone not lay the reel in the sand for a change. Is that a 3500 or 4500?

I fly fish for them… sight casting in SoCal in the shallows… it’s sooo much fun

  7. That’s a big bean! I’ve seen some giants cruising the shallows at LJ shores. So I know they’re around. But haven’t been able to catch them elsewhere yet.
