So i am fishing the st Augustine shore here in Florida. I took the local bait shop guys advice and got a pompano rig (2 hooks). How much slack do I need before tying the actual rig to my line? Also I have a 1 oz (I think) pyramid sinker connected which is located at the bottom of the pompano rig. Should I go up on my weight? Not trying to catch anything big at all. Just want to fish the beach for my first time ever.
