Forgot to mention I cutting the mono off these pre rigged hooks, they were the only baitholders size 6 at Walmart

Well, I’m ganna give you the advice that got me Ronda of carp and still does.
Oatmeal corn pack bait.
Get a number 2 circle hook and a 3/4ths wieght, put the wieght 5-8 inches above your hook.
Mix some oats and corn together with some water so it can get packed into a ball and stay together.
Put that ball of bait a bit bigger then a golf ball on the wieght and if you have any get a fake corn and put that on your hook, get a real corn piece and put that on there to. Take your hook and put it into the pack air you put into your wieght. Cast out looses drag, set the rod down and wait for the drag to start peelin. Check your regulations for packbait as I’m not sure if it’s differnt in other states.

If you don’t want corn to melt pva bags drain the corn well and then use a pva safe bait flavoring on the corn before putting in bag. The oil in the flavoring coats the corn so it doesn’t melt the bags. Or use veg oil that works too.
