So I usually don’t post here, but I’m having an actual problem here trying to figure out what to pair this with. Like the title states, it’s my 1st baitcaster gifted to me by an older uncle that is coming to town to visit. I want to thank him by taking him fishing so I figured y’all would lead me in the right direction.
I’m usually very cheap, but I can’t put a crappy rod on this expensive reel and call it okay. Looking to spend around $150-$200 for a quality rod. Will mostly be used for surf fishing top water lures in Chesapeake Bay MD/VA (also new to topwater) so feel free to roast and recommend away. Honestly the cheaper the better, still trying to keep a budget..
I’m going to need line recommendations, lure recommendations, rod recommendations and anything else I can’t find from the two YouTube videos about this assumebly classic Shimano reel.
