Preparing the nymphing equipement for the next season, I want to share a idea. well You can dye nylon with fluorecent dye for syntethic fibers on boiled water and on the process reduce the memory of the indicator, but this is a easy way to add color to a nylon monofilament. Its a common practice, allways I paint my fly line conectors for classic upstream nymph, so I take the idea and make indicators for tight line nymphing. with fluorecent permant markers paint it, then after few minutes re-paint because the nylon absorb the first layer of paint, and finally let dry for 24h on a nail on my wall. Looks pretty good and in my experience I never had problems with decoloration, last for all the use life of the monofilament. In fact You can add small parts of black paint on a proper indicator to add contrast, its a small gimmick. I hope this can be useful for someone. Tight lines!
