Just got a G-Loomis hand me down GLX FR1089-4 rod. I’m newer to fly fishing and don’t know much about this brand or what a 9 wt rod should be used for.
Currently own a 4 wt for trout fishing, but think this might be too big, unless im going for lake trout / bigger browns?
Any suggestions on where and what to use this for?
