What a cluster f of a day! 😂
Got everything ready last night, but my net. Forgot to look for it.
This AM my bud shows up to grab me. Shit. License expired end of August, renew online.
I go looking for the net everywhere and I couldn’t find it. Finally, I find it in the dry storage in my kayak (duh)
OK come on. Let’s load up and go.
Drive 50 minutes to the San Marcos river get the yaks unloaded then suddenly realize in all of the running around looking for the stupid net I left my paddle at home ALONG WITH MY RODS! I did grab my bag so I had everything else.
Thankfully he had a couple spare rods and we each got half an oar. Ha!
Halfway through one of the rods caught on a rope swing and yanked off the kayak…thankfully retrieved after 10-15 of wading the area.
At some point, the damn net went missing. Guessing went off the boat w the rod. Of course I didn’t tether it today. Hope whoever finds it doesn’t get cursed.
Good riddance to the net and all the bad juju it brought today.
Did catch a little bass on a llanolope…few sunnies. Slow day..
Hope ya get a laugh at my misfortune!
Damn sure this will never happen again!
And I need a new net.
