I am an amateur, but consider myself quite solid at this point. Why do I keep getting these knots in my line from casting? Undoubtably spooking some fish away. Doesn’t always happen. Today was a bit windy on the South Sound and I was casting into the wind, assume the lines were crossing each other.. What gives?

Tailing loops can do that. Not letting the line finishing rolling out before changing cast direction
