My grandmother gave me this rod that my late grandfather bought and never used. Why the man bought a 9/10wt rod, idk. Way too heavy for anything I’d be fishing. He lived in Delaware but had no means or plans to fly fish saltwater as far as I know. Not sure what’d he could even target in Delaware on the fly.
Spoke to my grandmother and she said this has zero sentimental value and that my grandfather just bought shit he didn’t need or use all the time lol. She gave it to me as I’m the fisherman in the family and figured I could use it.
I’m not into fly fishing, more of a spinning or bait caster guy. I’d be looking to sell this entire set, still in the cellophane wrappings and never used. What should I post this for? Also, where should I post this? Doubt anyone in my state (MD) would be looking for a 9/10wt rod lol. LL Bean Quest 2 piece. 9/10wt, 9’. No idea the stats on the reels. All in the original packaging with the sleeve and tube.

Maybe $100. Those SA reels are functional but el cheapos. Different companies made rods for LL Bean at diff times, but 2pc rods have been out of vogue for a long time now. But that doesn’t make this vintage/collector stuff.
9/10 is good for big stripers. Certainly have those around there.
