I have a few F’s variants I bought when I started tying as some ‘professional’ references, and they all line up roughly with the bend, so I’d say perhaps 20% shorter than yours.

Depends which bug. Some are shorter, more matched to the bend, but some are longer.
But, CDC wings are pretty droopy, and are more effective for me at least as emergers. In that case the wings are shorter, not fully formed yet. At least that’s my working tying/fishing theory
