Which Rod is Better?

Hey all,

I am just starting to get into surf fishing and need help choosing between two Penn products. The specifications are very similar yet option 2 is $50 more – why is that?

Both have reel size of 6000, medium-heavy, 9' long. I will primarily cast from the beaches of South Carolina. Thanks!
