im still quite new to fly fishing and wondering how to distinguish between stocked trout and wild, I know the adipose fins are removed if it’s stock but are there other signs other than that?

Considering you’re at a reservoir my guess is stocker but it doesn’t look beat up or anything like that. One thing people will look for to judge if something is a stocker is the fins. If they’re beat up, which this guys aren’t, it’s evidence it’s wild.

Stocker. Why? You’re at a reservoir in Colorado
I could be wrong but could be a holdover
