Shareholders of VIsta Outdoors (the parent company that bought Simms in 2022) have voted to approve a sale to Strategic Value Partners, a private equity investment firm. The sale is expected to be completed in January.
The sale will also include other outdoor brands owned by Vista, including Camelbak and CampChef.

Love simms gear but the cost of it keeps going up while the quality slips.

Aaaaaaaaand the quality will continue to decline.

Sadly, as a MT resident, I gave up on buying anything from Simms. The last 25 years all my relevant gear came from them. My last pair of waders and last couple pairs of boots were clearly nowhere near previous quality from them.

Buy Orvis. Still a family owned business and better warranty service.
