I brought a little buddy mr.heater and some 1LB Coleman propane from Walmart. I also have a co detector
Are those things compatible? Am I suppose to be using a 5 or 20lb tank?
Will it be easy to use and set up the heater?
Just nervous about ice fishing by myself for the first time in a long time

Yes you should use 1lb propane tanks for the heater pictured. These heaters are super easy to operate one button to light and turn on and one button to shut off. CO detector isn’t really necessary unless you are sleeping in your shack but won’t hurt anything
Those 1 pounders are what you need. They screw right into the bottom of the heater. Click the button to get the pilot going and hold until the flame holds.
Those little buddies are good for small 1 man portables, a bit under powered for anything bigger.
Been awhile since I’ve used mine but I think they have a tip sensor. Otherwise just keep a vent flap open and you should be fine.
Where abouts are you? If you’re nervous about going alone maybe there’s someone on here local to you that you can tag along with the first time.
