Updated Hawaii fly box. Are these flies too flashy?
I tied some with and without flash. Should I cut the flash out of some of these? I’ve heard Hawaiian bones are extremely spooky

Looks great. I’d add in some darker browns and black. Sometimes they don’t like flashy, and often they like the darker contrast flies or sandy colored.

I caught fish with a Miyawaki Popper that was made for sea run cutthroat in Washington. Don’t over think it. For the O’io, find the fish, put the fly in the right place, and hope for the best.

Tie a lot more of those brown crabs, those are what you should fish. but yeah, Hawaiian bonefish are the spookiest bonefish in the world imo. 20lb fluoro tippet and leaders also. Good luck you’re gonna need it.
