Great Christmas Eve Outing, Topped Off With A Bag Full Of….Garbage.

With everything totally wrapped and ready for Christmas tomorrow, I was able to get to the stream for a few hours. The fishing was good with around a dozen fish to hand, nothing big but plenty of lookers. The setting was better. Little dusting of snow, some cool ice formations, and a pleasant temperature. Unable to deliver gifts to the fish that bring us so much joy, I decided to do the next best thing and haul out all the garbage I could in a bag that I happened to find on another local stream during a different day. I try my best to take some trash out during every outing, and figured the holiday was a good opportunity to promote it, in hopes that others will do the same. We owe it to the fish and to the landscapes that bring us such pleasure all year round.
