Is the Battle III Spinning Reel (Reel Size 6000, Ratio 5.6:1) compatible with the Squadron III Spinning Surf Rod (10', 15-30lb line) for surf fishing on the beaches of South Carolina? Been looking for a 10', ~6000 combo but couldn't find one so figured I buy them separately. Or should I try 9', 5000?

What are you targeting? Depending on what you’re targeting the answer could be yes or no.
I’m 5 foot 9 and can realistically handle a 9 foot rod all day at the beach surf fishing with lures. Now if you’re gonna use lures id go with the lighter setup but if you’re gonna use bait and wait tactics I would go with the longer setup for better casting distance.
