Hah, the only burbot I’ve taken home to eat was one I caught as I was leaving. Had a slow day fishing and was pulling up my gear to go home. I pulled my last tip up (flag still down) and the line pulled tight. I hauled up a decent burbot that was just hanging out down there chewing on the bait but hadn’t taken any line out. It was good eating.
