Best money I ever invested in fishing was getting a guide on my home river for a day. They’ll teach you the ropes, techniques, weight, etc. I always thought it was about the right fly. It’s more about depth, weight, drift

I failed at my first season of Michigan deer hunting this year and feel the same way. Even got setup in some nice corn fields for “easy” hunting. Nada, not luck. Bummed me out but I’ll try again next year.
