I am officially addicted to the Dry-Dropper rig . Even though there are NO bugs on the water, temps in the mid-20’s, and ice covering my cranefly imitation after every few casts, I am powerless and refuse to fish anything else.

  1. I fish them, almost exclusively. I feel like I can cast the dry dropper rig way better than I can cast a nymph rig with an indicator.

  2. Montana regulations don’t allow us to use more than 2 hooks in a rig. While nymphing I would much rather have a 2 nymph setup under an indicator than a useless dry on top. Just my preference… Seems logical though

  3. I love them but the issue of not being able to quickly change depth keeps me from fishing them most of the time.
