He was hooked in his right side, couldn’t get the mouth to come up to the hole, grabbed his Gill and knocked the lure out… can’t stop thinking about what I could’ve done better

If you’re fishing for lunkers like that I’d get a bigger auger. Trying to muscle a huge fish through a small hole isn’t fun.
