Took my son and a few friends ice fishing yesterday and while i was setting up a couple pop ups tents for couple groups somehow one of the kids knocked my striker 4 I just put together down the hole In 11 feet of water. After a whole lot of cussing an a trip home to figure out what i could use to try an fish it out , I ended up taking chimney flue cleaner rods together an taped part of a clothes hanger and after a hour an half under water I was able to fish it out . I was surprised to see it was still on an working. We ended up fishing for 5 hours an surprisingly it didn't skip a beat even the Milwaukee battery I have powering the unit worked fine until today, after drying it out it won't take a charge now. I am a vexilar fan over the striker 4 all day but I have to admit I don't think my vexilar would have survived If it took a swim .
