Would this be a good beginner set up under $300?

Would this be a good beginner setup for under $300? I'm looking for something that can last for awhile and is versatile. Will be using this to fish from shore in Hawaii

1. Okuma Reflexions "b" RX-S-722Mb – 7'-2" Medium Action rod
2. Shimano Ultegra 21 ULTC3000HGFC – 3000 size reel
