Im working on making my dog as comfortable as possible on the ice. I started out with a couple of mats on the ice but she would inevitably get wet and cold. Next I moved the mats into my Trek 60 but have to move most of my gear out of the sled to accommodate her. Works relatively well but securing all of my gear from the wind is a major pain and setting/packing up takes way longer. Also, way too big in the shack. Now I’ve gotten her own Trek 45. I’ve got a rubber mat along the bottom to keep her suspended off the ice and a comforter for padding. I’m looking for ideas to replace the comforter because it gets wets as she gets in and out during the day and is a pain to dry each day. Also interested to see other’s setups or any ideas to improve.

I personally put down some athletic foam and then I have a spare piece of carpet to go across the bottom of the sled.
So I spent a stupid amount of time and money trying to make my golden comfy on the ice with me, turns out he loves the heavy weight wool military surplus blanket thrown on the ice. YMMV but sometimes simple is best.
