Scored this at an auction a few weeks back for 120 dollars. I’m landlocked with big pike and musky in the area, I already fish an 8wt tfo most of the time but this deal was too good to pass up.
This weekend went hunting for line, fly shops around me mostly specialize in trout. Biggest line they had was a 400gr 11wt with a 45’ head. AFTMA says 380gr as recommended.
Wondering what people run for line that isn’t 250 dollar tarpon line (all the fly store had) underneath us some digging I did last night when I got home. I understand I want a shorter head, watched some Gunnar Brammer videos and that helped some. Just want some other input from people who fish these. As I said, there’s not much for 12wt anything where I am in the world.
