Wondering how everyone dresses for conditions this time of year and have any tricks for beating the cold. For me, I’m wearing two pairs of wool socks, long underwear, hiking pants, Swiftcurrent waders, thermal shirt, wool sweater, winter jacket, neck gaiter, a beanie, and thinner gloves. I freeze after a while in the water so just upgraded to heated socks that are controlled via bluetooth, fleece lined under wader pants, and a box of hand warmers. Any other suggestions?

I’m in Texas, we got 77 and sunny this weekend. I’d say a t-shirt 😂
Is that central oregon?
I’m in a similar get-up in WA! What are the heated socks you use? They work really well? My feet always go numb no matter what I do.
And then your line guides ice up, and you can’t clear ’em because you can’t get your fingers to function and God forbid you get wet or go in the water unplanned and you’re dead in less than an hour.
I watch flyfishing videos on YouTube or work on my gear for the non-hypothermic parts of the season.
It’s not that I don’t like cold weather. I shipped on the Great Lakes and the Bering Sea in the winter. I just give the fish the winter off.
