good price might as well just buy it and see, worst that you gonna do is hate the reel and slap a $30 spinning reel on and have another backup or dead stick

I use that rod but a different reel. I didn’t get the reel because I saw a video of a guy reviewing it. Can’t remember the complaint now. I use a different inline reel from 13 Fishing. My only issue with 13 Fishing inline reels is that there’s no noise created when the fish pulls against the drag. Usually it makes that ticking noise but these don’t. It’s a little complaint but the first time I caught a pike on it I only had about 8′ of line out but felt like I was reeling in about 300′. That silence is just an annoyance rather than an actual problem. Generally, I like their products. For that money, I doubt you can go very wrong.

From my research, some people love these reels and some people hate these reels. I hate them my wife swears by them. That is a steal it’s worth a stab.

I love my ghost freefall…..I’ll never go back to spinning.
The reel alone is worth it

If you fish in super cold weather with no shelter the gears will freeze up and you will have no drag other than that they are ok

I have one but don’t use it much, and that is personal preference, but that thing has two issues: it’s strangely heavy and two, it’s not balanced. So it leans sideways.
Try one in store if possible. But I have enough other rods to not deal with it.

I have the same one and I like it for crappie and perch. Couldn’t imagine using it for much else. Very good bite detection.The fact that it’s inline too means you won’t be getting any line memory either.
