Completely new, never fly fished. My pops gave me this rod he bought on sale years ago for no reason at all. Guess I'll try for some small trout and bass in my area.
What reel would match this rod in the $200 range?

You can literally buy anything and it will work. Fly reels don’t do a whole lot. You just want to buy one that’s sized for a 7wt line.
