I don’t use these during fly fishing. Only with my normal spinning reel setup.

Definite yes for me.

I’m a fan of tippet rings. For trout fishing, I see very little downside to using them. They’re too small to impact casting or drifts in any meaningful way, and they make my leaders last forever.

Heck yeah. love mine. At the end of my leader no blood knots saving time changing out my rig.

Big fan, makes your leaders last longer imo

I’ve used them for years. I find it easier than connecting line to line

Yes. Out of frugality though.

Yes. I cut back my leader add tippet ring to terminal end. Then add tippet to the ring as needed. Works great for bobber nymphing. Very versatile.

Yay. Saves tippet and leader material vs doing knots all the way down. Also, if you get a snag you can’t unsnag, you’ll likely only lose that one fly. Without tippet rings, I’ve lost a lot more flies.

I haven’t used them, but I can see them as a big convenience. I would be concerned it might be a distraction to spookier fish.

I haven’t stopped using them since I first started!

I can see this working well with nymphing but is it still good for using dries?

Nah. Surgeon’s knot for tippets 5x and smaller and blood knots for 4x and up. Less parts and pieces.
