I’ve been using my Milwaukee M18 drill no problem for ice fishing with an 8” Eskimo. Recently my cousin got in to ice fishing and I’ve been letting him borrow my gear. My problem is that it leaves me in the house without my drill so decided to try the Hercules 20v from harbor freight for him to have his own (https://www.harborfreight.com/20v-brushless-cordless-12-in-drilldriver-kit-with-side-handle-2-ah-battery-and-charger-70067.html?gQT=1) just to have a budget alternative drill. When we tried it out this weekend, it kept torquing out even at the lowest setting and it took about 3 minutes to get a single hole made. It meets the torque I’ve seen recommended online however clearly not working. Should this drill be capable of drilling an 8” hole or does anyone else have experience with it?
