Anyone with one of these augurs run into this issue? The auger will cut fine for a second or two but then will stop drilling and will just sit there barely shaving any ice. The video above is of me drilling through just 12 inches of clear ice. It takes a minute and 30 seconds, so something has to be wrong. This is brand new, first time out. At first I thought I was applying too little or too much downward pressure. First powered auger, so I wasn’t sure. But in this video I apply no pressure at the beginning and I increase as I go…and it still goes slow. Sometimes it will almost completely stall, not cutting at all, and you’ll see I have to wiggle it around to get it to keep going at all. Anyone know what is up?
