Found out a fishermen fell throu the ice local and the guy with him tried to help but unfortunately fell throu an he ended up not making it an passed away.I don't know exact scenario but honestly think a cheap $30. Fifty foot rescue float throw rope bag would changed the outcome . This is something I think everyone should have on the ice esply after noticing how many people don't do there diligence checking how safe ice actually is .

I have a nerf football with 50’ of polypro rope threaded through it. If I knew it was only $30 I would have left my football unmolested.

I see pictures on here of guys wearing ice spikes and safety ropes but have never once seen a person in Alberta use them. It could be that we have 2.5 feet of ice already…
