Think I’m gonna have to make a habit of getting out any good bait and recommendations? Anything else that you would recommend to get for a newbie? Thinking I’ll have to pick up a sled although the ice was thick enough to drive out on this time.

Use wax worms on a small jig . I get everything from bluegill to trout . Good luck .
