New Gear Day. I have to say I’m quite impressed with what I’m seeing from Nam Products, from packaging to performance. I fished the Hazumi shooting line before Christmas and was impressed by how well it performed in sub 40° temps. It retained almost no memory.
So when I ordered another spool of Hazumi for my 8 wt two-hander, I decided to order their Zentai 16 lb. tippet, which I’m excited to try given that at .25 mm it is 2/3 the diameter of 15 lb Maxima (.38 mm). I’m hoping that means less visibility without compromising strength.
If you’re looking to try this stuff, I recommend Bend Fly Shop. Super helpful guys, and the only shop I’ve found that is full stocked in their Nam Products line. They have some pretty sick looking rods and reels as well.
