I'm new to this group and thought I'd introduce myself with a little show'n'tell and ask for some opinions. This is my current setup:
3 Ugly Stik Dock Runners,
– 2 with mono on a couple of size 10 Okuma spinners.
– 1 with braid (main) / mono (backing/leader) on a size 10 Quantum spinner.
1 Zebco Dock Demon with braid (main) / mono (backing/leader) on a size 100 Quantum baitcaster.
A Leatherman mutitool and Leatherman pouch for essential tackle, both of which sit on my belt.
The 2 Okuma spinning reels with mono will be used for live warms and possibly raw bacon and have different sized hooks.
That said, the spinner and baitcaster with braid will probably be used with lures and I am open to anyone's opinions/advice on them, as this is the first time I have ever used braided line.
I do have a 5 1/2 foot light action Ugly stick with a size 30 Quantum spinning reel, but I snapped the reel handle trying to remove it while doing maintenance so I didn't include it because I don't know when/if I will be able to replace the part. I have also been transitioning toward these "light/micro" rod setups as they fit better with where/how I like to fish.
