Fish Id? Caught in northern Wisconsin. No idea what it is.

    It’s a sculpin I think. commonly found in rivers. My buddy has caught a few fishing/trapping shiners

    Goby. They’re invasive in WI.

    The DNR probably knows they’re in that body of water, but it wouldn’t hurt to share the picture with a day and time with them anyway

  3. 100% round goby, they are invasive. If that is not known to be in the lake I’d contact the DNR so they are aware. Pretty rare to catch em through the ice but if you go to any lake that has em in the summer you’ll catch a bazillion of em

    We have had them in the Finger Lakes in NY for years. DNR says they are invasive which is true, but if you cut open a lake trout or bass they are full of gobies so I dunno.
