I had one come up and get viscous years ago. Unfortunately it did not end well for him getting stomped by an ice cleat. I did my best to shew him out but in the end I had to shoe him out.

were you polite and offer him a Dixie cup of beer and bait minnows? without rules and educate it is all chaos. Reminder everyone in fishing party must all agree before hand on the established rules of full contact ice fishing, mouth guards are now mandatory along with helmets. Visors and cages are left to the players discretion. Game on tip up. Being poor as kid we found all kinds of ways to have fun.
