Just wanted to see everyone's opinions on this development. I know the TU chapter in the area heavily opposes any stocking, and we've stopped stocking browns, however I'm curious to everyone's thoughts, even if you aren't from the area. I personally don't have a strong opinion either way, but would love to hear other peoples perspectives .
(Normally I wouldn't name the exact rivers, but in this case I feel it's important to know what exactly we are addressing.)

Maybe controversial, but I kind of yawn when it comes to protecting marginal fisheries of wild non-native fish by discontinuing the stocking of other non-native fish.
If they were asking the state to stop stocking over wild brook trout, I would very much agree it should stop.
As it is… meh. The smaller rainbows will end up food for people or trophy class brown trout.
