
For those that have fished the Miracle Mile in Wyoming you'll probably have a soft place in your heart for this fishery. It's a tailwater but a bit different as it's fish population varies with lake run fish moving in and out during spawns. Cross populations follow for these spawns to eat eggs. Now the Mile has some issues with por angling practice but regulations are changing soon for the better.
The issue that faces the Platte is a proposed pump project that could possibly kill the fishery because of excess sediment from consistent high flows which could cover much of the spawning ground.
