TLDR: How delicate are snails eggs and can one identify a difference between bladder or ramshorn egg sacs?

Hey,
So late January, I started up my first tank to cycle. I wanted to set up a nice place for a betta. I began a fishless cycle and after an initial diatom bloom and plant melts with the newly installed plants, I noticed snails.
Discovered pest snails can come through plants. Good to know now lol. I have some bladder and ramshorns. Admittedly, I'm snailist and I've taken out 8 bladder snails. I thought I may have gotten them all but I saw a tiny baby bladder but lost it in the substrate so… probably will get more in the future.
Tilting the favour for Ramshorns. I took a picture of Silly Billy, Lydia and Duncan the Egg, chilling by my cryptocorynes. I see under the sponge filter… what I believe to be one of those snail egg blobs. I had earlier seen one of the Ramshorns chilling on the same ledge of the sponge filter but didn't see it come out of it… is there a way to identify whether ramshorn or bladder egg sacs?
Also… i read it can take up to 5 weeks for them to be snails! How delicate are these things? I'm going to want to squeeze out the sponge part of the filter to clean it a bit, prior to 5 weeks from now…
Just want to establish somewhat of a ramshorn populace prior to getting my betta buddy who may or may not want to eat them. Or should I go chili rasbora? Nvm… different question for a different day.

  1. Ramshorn eggs are flatter and spread over a wider area, they have visible segments and can have an orange tint in the gel.
