Can anyone id these black dots on all the fish in my backyard pond?( is this a sunfish orrr)? Fw,tx
These dots are on literally ever single fish I pull up out of this pond and it’s making me regret putting like 10 11+ inch crappie in it.

That’s a sunfish. Did you buy crappie?

A parasite called Black Spot Disease. Isn’t fatal in fish, unless you have a very heavy outbreak. Which is basically the entire fish being completely covered.
And does not pose a threat to humans.

Parasites. Transported by fish eating birds.
Bird eats fish, worm matures and lays eggs in bird’s stomach, bird craps in water and juvenile worms infect fish.
