Thought I would share my strategy on fishing for Carp on the Flyrod and Floattube in deeper murky water. I flyfish for them the normal way in very shallow clear water where I can actually see them and do a drag/drop but I had to adapt to this type of fishing as most venues I fish for them is deeper water (4 to 12 foot deep). I speak Afrikaans on the video but basically just saying there are a lot of tree stumps in the water on that spot and then he also wraps me around a stump at one stage but I manage to navigate him out of there. It was a very short but hard fight. He was only 6.6kg. Had he been a 9kg I doubt I would have turned him against those reeds. 9kg karp in my opinion are the hardest fighting. I have caught up to 17kg before but the hardest fighters are all in the region of 7kg-9kg. Enjoy
