Hi everyone! So I have recently stumbled down the rabbit hole of JDM tackle… and wow it seems like they just have some next level stuff from rods to lures. For some context I mainly do smallie fishing on rivers from a kayak so generally have just used soft plastics (hellgrammites, lizards, worms rigged ned or weedless) because anything with a lip will dive and get me hung up.
Specifically I have been looking at Jackall lures and rods and was curious if anyone has experience using them? The ones I have been looking at are:
Jackall Revoltage – Was planning to pair this with a vanford 2500-3000 cause I know the shimano's run a bit smaller than Daiwa
My current set up is a 6'6 st croix and 2000 BG which has been great but, got a nice promotion at work and want to treat myself to some really high end gear so any recommendations outside what I am thinking would be much appreciated, was planning to budget around ~$700 for the rod/reel!
Thanks in advance!
