Will he pairing with a Penn squall 2 30. I would like the rod to be 10’ or more and have a lure rating of 2-6. What length rod would you guys recommend? What lb test line should I put on? Should I use power pro or varivas? I was going to get the ugly stik big water big I heard it wasn’t good for casting baits. My budget is under 150$. Sorry for all the questions. Thanks

You wanna cast baits, but you chose a reel that’s meant for kayaking / droning baits. A 30 is a big reel to cast. What’s your plan here?
That reel is better suited to a 7-9ft 80lb rod, loaded with 80lb braid and a long mono top shot… you are better off kayaking or droning baits with that reel, or choosing a smaller, more castable reel.
