Just wanted to share a snapshot of where my 98L community tank is at — finally feels like it’s all coming together!

The tank’s got a bit of a “Noah’s Ark” vibe — filled with a variety of species, all coexisting surprisingly well.

I recently added frosted glass to the back panel which has made a huge visual difference. It think it highlights the plants and fish without showing the cables and wall behind.

Water parameters are coming up perfect. Its a relatively new tank – (about 3 months old) so i'm really happy its stabilised. Fish are thriving, and there’s not really any aggression at all.

Really happy with the function of the layout. The open space gives them room to cruise around. Everyone seems to have claimed a peice of territory with caves, tunnels and hidey holes getting regular use. The sand in the middle with the flow seems to gather most the waste which makes cleaning super easy too.

A few cool things I’ve noticed:

  • All the areas are in use and my fish all seem super entartained.

  • I might be wrong but it seems the fish are finding tank mates! Spending time close to one another with no aggression. It’s so cute.

  • Everyone comes out at feeding time — no shy fish and everyone seems to get their share.

All this said, I’m always open to learning — I’d love any advice on managing algae long-term (especially with live plants and CO₂), or any general tips for maintaining harmony in a fully stocked community tank as they grow.

Thanks in advance for sharing any thoughts — always love seeing how others run their setups too. Will post a stock list in the comments! 👇
